Today I accompanied Hana's kindergarten class on a field trip to a pumpkin patch in Clayton.  It was Hana's first ride on a school bus.  She really enjoyed it.  We both had a great day.

I had an interesting conversation with one of Hana's teachers - he noticed that one of the farm hands referred to a milking cow as a 'he'.  We wondered why we sometimes identify or associate certain animals with a specific gender?  This led to a short chat about gender stereotyping being deeply rooted in our culture.
